ymir forges a perfect epitaph for these convulsive pandemic times ... epic black metal songs of a feeling from the 90s transferred to this pestilential present, an authentic ceremony of death ... true!!!
This is phenomenal pagan metal that captures the spirt of the subgenre perfectly while harking back to its BM roots. The production and tone are very much pagan metal, but the composition feels a bit more folk metal at times, which I think is a great direction for the subgenre to go into. I'm a sucker for non-English vocals, especially a male choir, and the opening/title track begins with a triumphant chorus whose power carries through the rest of the album. I need more pagan metal like this. Camelus Dromedarius
